Miriam's mother (Evelyn) is at Three Rivers Nursing Home in Windsor and in need of continued prayers to lift her up and the nursing staff as they help with her care.

Date: Wed, 9 Jun 2010 00:08:37 -0400 Reda Midgett (AE#54) is in Norfolk Sentera Heart Hospital after suffering a heart attack and scheduled for quadruple bypass surgery at 10am Thursday, June 10. Reda is a member of Mt. Olivet UMC in Manteo, wife of Edison Midgett (AE#53), and mother of Ramona M. Wescott (AE#20). Prayers are appreciated.

Date: Mon, 7 Jun 2010 11:52:56 -0400 Debbie Ruckle of Virginia Beach was admitted to hospital Thursday night and is in surgery at Norfolk General Hospital this morning. The doctor said two of the three stints they put in two years ago failed and the other one is almost blocked. Debbie is the sister-in-law to Pat (AE#44) & Philip Ruckle (AE#43) in Manteo.
UPDATE: Mon, 7 Jun 2010 Debbie is doing well but still needs prayer.
Date: Sat, 29 May 2010 11:18:58 -0400 Pray for Pierce Lowing, a neighbor and friend to Rose Monroe. While Michael was out of town Rose locked herself out of the house last evening. Pierce came to help and while using a ladder to go through an attic vent van space about 5 feet onto his back, lost consciousness and was taken to Pitt ICU with a brain hemorrhage, fractured a vertebrae and has had a possible stroke. Please pray for Pierce, his family and Rose Monroe. Michael is on his way home and could use prayer for safe travel.

Bobby and Carole are checking other options and getting second opinions at Pitt Hospital Cancer Clinic and Duke University. Please pray for them as they search to find a successful treatment for Bobby. God is in control as we show our Christian love and support through prayer.

His wife Cindy has just been diagnosed with Stage IV Cervical Cancer with chances for survival slim. The more people that pray for her to be healed, the better. The Hogmans have a 5-year-old son, Michael.

Dr. Taylor is hoping to get him in next week with a gastro doctor to get his diagnosis and order a liver biopsy. We trust God's healing power and His Grace and need many prayers.

update: June 5 This week has seen ups and downs that come with ICU and a severe respiratory infection. The amount of the mucus in his lungs and the fluid build-up in his body made it so hard for him to have a normal respiratory rate. The good news is that he got progressively better throughout the day & doctors were able to identify the bacteria in his lungs and give him better antibiotics, and all while keeping his heart healthy.
update: June 7 Ray is out of the "active" delusional stage and is aware of who is around him and what is going on. The CT scan showed a blood clot in his lung.
update: June 9 The best news is that he is looking and feeling so much better with spirits high and realistic expectations of a long, slow recovery (vs. the “get me out of here today” desire).

Date: Fri, 08 May 2009 10:44:57 -0400 Pray for Monica Maynard’s brother, Jaymes Holden(AE14), who is in ICU in Charlotte. He had mono, and then Gillian Barre Syndrome. He is paralyzed with a respirator and feeding tube. The process is reversible but takes time to run it’s course. Doctors are very optimistic because he is in such good shape. Prayer will help. Please Pray for Kirk Boone (age 34) and his parents Larry (ae 81) and Pat. We do not know if Larry has to drop out of his walk next week.
