  • Date: Tue, 8 Dec 2009 11:38:40 -0500   rainbowimage  The home of Frank (AE12) and Janice Thigpen was severely damaged during a fire on Sunday morning, December 6th. Frank is the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in South Mills. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers.
  • Date: Thu, 19 Nov 2009 06:21:51 -0500   rainbowimage  Please keep the Boyce family of Hertford in your prayers. MC Boyce (AE5) passed away suddenly on Friday, October 16, 2009 from a heart attack. He is survived by his wife Pat Boyce, (TW13) and children, Diana Boyce (AC 4) and Wade Boyce.

He has been in and out of the hospital with histoplasmosis and was admitted back into Albemarle Hospital today. Pray for physical, spiritual and emotional health for David, his wife Ivy (AE25) and their two boys; David is currently an elder at Towne South Church of Christ in Elizabeth City.
  • Date: Wed, 23 Sep 2009 21:50:25 -0400   rainbowimage  Pray for Wayne Woods and his family. Wayne's father, who had a stroke 3 weeks ago and was paralyzed on his right side, died today. He now has a new healed body.
  • Date: Thu, 25 Jun 2009 06:56:20 -0400   rainbowimage  Eddie Paul ,who walked October 2007 on ae73 , was killed in a motor vehicle accident Friday, June 19. Keep his wife Tina in your prayers. A memorial service will be this Saturday, June 27th, at Newbegun UMC.
  • Date: Tue, 16 Jun 2009 18:59:25 -0700 (PDT)   rainbowimage  Prayer is requested for Gary and Cindy Hogman of Naperville. Gary is serving in Iraq. His wife Cindy, age 32, was pregnant but recently miscarried at 3 months. She has just been diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer with chances for survival very slim. They have a 5-year-old son named Michael.

        update: June 5 This week has seen ups and downs that come with ICU and a severe respiratory infection. The amount of the mucus in his lungs and the fluid build-up in his body made it so hard for him to have a normal respiratory rate. The good news is that he got progressively better throughout the day & doctors were able to identify the bacteria in his lungs and give him better antibiotics, and all while keeping his heart healthy.
        update: June 7 Ray is out of the "active" delusional stage and is aware of who is around him and what is going on. The CT scan showed a blood clot in his lung.
        update: June 9 The best news is that he is looking and feeling so much better with spirits high and realistic expectations of a long, slow recovery (vs. the “get me out of here today” desire).

  • Date: Fri, 08 May 2009 10:44:57 -0400   rainbowimage  Pray for Monica Maynard’s brother, Jaymes Holden(AE14), who is in ICU in Charlotte. He had mono, and then Gillian Barre Syndrome. He is paralyzed with a respirator and feeding tube. The process is reversible but takes time to run it’s course. Doctors are very optimistic because he is in such good shape. Prayer will help.   • Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2009 10:48:35 -0500   rainbowimage  Heather Winslow (Wayne and Sandy Winslow’s daughter–in–law) has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. The praise is she is having surgery on March 10 and the doctors believe it will totally be eliminated and she will not even have to have treatments! Praise the Lord! Heather just walked on AE 77.   • Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2009 08:00:45 EST   rainbowimage  Larry Boone (pilgrim for ae 81) has a son Kirk is in Pitt County Memorial Hospital with pneumonia and other life threatening conditions due to chronic addiction and alcoholic behavior. Please Pray for Kirk Boone (age 34) and his parents Larry (ae 81) and Pat. We do not know if Larry has to drop out of his walk next week.
    Mon, 2 Mar 2009 Update — Kirk has improved enough to be transferred back to Heritage Hospital in Tarboro & should be well enough to go home this week.
