the name chosen for the Youth Walk to Emmaus. The Walk to Emmaus is an ecumenical, spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church with Christian disciples and leaders. The Upper Room®, a ministry unit of the General Board of Discipleship of The United Methodist Church, sponsors the Walk to Emmaus and offers it through local Emmaus groups around the world. Our community opearates under the authority and guidelines of The Upper Room® Walk to Emmaus with a Board of Directors to oversee the local Walk to Emmaus movement as part of The Upper Room® Walk to Emmaus.
