Editor Notes:
The following are corrections for last month's newsletter:

  • Oopps! Glenn McCrainie is from Mt. Zion UMC in Grandy, not Currituck UMC
  • Oopps two! We had an incorrect spelling for Hudean O'Neal, Bethany United Meth. Church

  • Sorry about that Guys

Want to SAVE AE Money?

Our Albemarle Emmaus mailing list has grown to more than 725 copies. The offering at each gathering, which is not always enough, is used to offset our printing and postage expenses. As our community grows our newsletter costs increase. If you are receiving one of those 725 mailings and want to help save Albemarle Emmaus money, to request notice of major site updates, which will include notice of the newsletter posting each month, & ask to be removed from the snail-mail list. Remember to include your name and mailing address   .   .   .   and you'll probably see the newsletter on the web before a paper copy makes it to your mailbox.

Kairos PCI 6 Followup

To say the least, PCI 6 was awesome!!

Thanks and praises to God for the wonderful way that He revealed His Love to the residents of PCI 6. Men that felt there was no purpose in their lives saw that there can be a new beginning and purpose for living. A total of 43 residents completed the Kairos weekend with 16 making decisions or recommitments to God. What an awesome thing to see! I feel that God gave us words that help us to understand what He can do in Habakkuk 1:5 " Look at the nations and be amazed! Watch and be astounded at what I will do! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn't believe even it someone told you about it." On our first follow up meeting with residents, we were told that many were having prayer meetings in the yards in large groups. God is changing Pasquotank Correctional Institution and He is using Kairos as a tool to make changes.

As I reflect on PCI 6, I stand amazed. GOD DID MIGHTY THINGS!! A big thanks to all that prayed, baked cookies, helped with AGAPE and attended the closing. A special thanks to all to the outside and inside team for their gifts of love and service. You all were so used of God.

Please be open to serving on a Kairos team in the future. I can promise you that you will be a blessing and you will be blessed. To use a quote from Henry Blackaby, "Look to see where God is working and join Him." God is working in Karios!!

I hope this poem will be helpful to you.

" Jesus is ahead of you as your Shepherd,
He is behind you as your Rearguard.
Jesus is over you as your Covering,
He is under you as your Foundation.
Jesus is beside you as your Friend,
He is within you as your Life. "

AE-48 Logo       AE 48 Report

With great joy I am pleased to announce that AE 48, "Jesus All For Jesus," was a wonderful success. As always in the past, being bathed in continuous prayer, the Holy Spirit met us on Thursday of the weekend and walked with ALL us, Pilgrims and Teamers, for seventy-two hours changing and inspiring each man present. On behalf of the entire AE Community I would again like to warmly welcome our new Brothers in Christ. Our prayer is that the fire for Christian action which has been fanned in your hearts during your walk will continue to burn brightly in and through you for the cause of Christ in your home, your home church, the AE Community, and in the world. We encourage each of the Pilgrims to make plans for reunion groups, gatherings, and attending the Day of Deeper Understanding at Corinth Baptist on November 9, 2002. We the members of the AE Community are looking forward to a growing Christian friendship with each of you as we get to know each other better. May the Lord continue to richly bless each of Pilgrims of AE 48!
