Hey Delores!! I hate to complain . . . but it is almost impossible to read these new pdf newsletters on my computer. The print is so tiny.
Could you please do something to make the print larger? I do like the fact that it doesn't take a whole pack of paper to print the newsletter anymore, but I don't always want to print the newsletter just to read it. I would greatly appreciate being able to read the news letter on my computer. - - Blind Reader |

Dear Blind: We do not mind a friendly complaint, please do so every time you have a problem. That's one way we know to fix things. In this case I cannot change the print size. One of the advantages of pdf is that it is viewed the same on almost any operating system or web browser. But you can view it larger. I'll try to walk you through it and make you a wide-eyed Reader again. |

Depending on the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and the web browser you
use, there should be a couple of rows of icons across the top of the page.
If you're using Internet Explorer (which most people do) look for the icons
below the address bar (that's the white box area with the web address that looks like:
http://www.albemarleemmaus.org/newsletter/2004/ae2004_07.pdf) In the middle of the row are what look like three little pages side by side |

KAIROS Planning and preparation for Kairos #10 at Pasquotank Correctional Institution (PCI) on November 4-7, 2004, has been under way for some time now. But the most important element is missing - the team! It is now time to begin assembling the Kairos PCI #10 team. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, please consider becoming part of the Kairos PCI #10 team. If you have ever wondered how you could respond to Jesus's call in Matthew 25:36, if you have ever desired to be a part of a mighty move of God, then let me suggest Kairos! Kairos is a ministry, structured much like Emmaus, focused on bringing Christ's love to prison inmates. Since the spring of 2000, the Albemarle Emmaus community has supported a Kairos ministry within Pasquotank Correctional Institution (PCI) in Elizabeth City, NC. The next Kairos weekend to be held at PCI will be on November 4-7, 2004. Please consider being a part of this awesome ministry. We will actually have two parts of the PCI #10 Team, those that go into the institution, and those that help on the outside. All applications for team members must be mailed in by September 10. If you are interested in being a part of the Kairos team for the next weekend, or if you would like more information, please contact me, Eric Lowe (252-453-6784). We've included links to a "recruitment" letter, a team application, and a Nov. 7th Closing Ceremony application. Thank you for considering ways that you can help, Eric Lowe |

Please remember that these prayer concerns are offered for the Community to PRAY about, not to pry into the lives of those named. Not everyone wants their personal lives made public even if we are praying for them so please, before adding another's name to the prayer list, verify that they want to be on this list. |

YOU can help AE save money
A number of people in our Albemarle Emmaus Community have responded to our efforts at cutting back on postage costs and the time it takes to prepare each month's newsletters. However, our Albemarle Emmaus mailing list continues to grow with more than 200 names added each year. Our mailing list now includes 775 names. If you receive one of our paper newsletter mailings and view or print a copy from the web site, think about helping save AE money and the newsletter staff time by eliminating the paper copy. A simple
will send your Email request for email notice each time a newsletter is posted to the AE web site, about one week after each Gathering. Include in your message your name and mailing address & ask to be removed from the snail-mail list . . . it's that simple. . . . And you'll probably see the newsletter on the web before a paper copy makes it to your mailbox.
