International Office Moved Gathering Reminder Emmaus/Chrysalis Celebration
The Kairos Prison Ministry International Office has moved. Effective this month the new address became:
6903 University Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32792. Phone numbers remain the same. Phone: (407) 629-4948 Fax: (407) 629-2668
Don't forget that our Gatherings do not end with the prayer following communion. After communion we sing “All in All” (on page 5 in the AE Song Book) followed by the Chrysalis Cheer. Then we all pitch in to help clean up. Many hands make for light work so if everyone pitches in it only takes a dozen or more people a few minutes but the same job can take two people several hours.
Mark your calendar now for the next Emmaus/Chrysalis celebration event. Scheduled for November 9 - 10, 2007, we will be at Lexington United Methodist Church, 309 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072 (off I-20 just west of Columbia, SC)

Emmaus Is Committed To Follow-up

One of the most common criticisms of religious retreats and revivals is inadequate follow-up. Emmaus is designed from the outset to be more than a three day event; it includes follow-up fellowship opportunities aimed at supporting people’s discipleship in the world. Emmaus not only takes persons to the Mountaintop but helps them return to everyday life and live as disciples through covenant groups for mutual support and accountability. Through Gatherings, Reunion groups and teaming, the goal of Emmaus is to give persons the means to persevere in grace for the rest of their lives.

A Free Gift
Please remember that your Albemarle Emmaus newsletter comes to you as a free gift, even though there are substantial printing, publishing, and postage expenses each month.   All newsletter expenses are covered entirely by the voluntary financial support of those attending monthly Gatherings.   That's why the plate is passed at each Gathering.   If you move and do not notify us of your address change the return postage adds to the monthly expenses of publishing this newsletter.
